Ceará returns to the pitch in the Brazilian Série B Championship next Monday, the 13th, at 8:30 p.m., against Athletic/MG. The match, which will take place at Presidente Vargas Stadium, will be officiated by Paraná native José Mendonça da Silva Júnior, 42.
The officiating crew will also include assistant referees Sidmar Dos Santos Meurer and Roberto Rivelino Dos Santos Júnior, both also from Paraná. Ceará native Wanderson Marques Martins will be the fourth official, while Rio de Janeiro native Carlos Eduardo Nunes Braga will be in charge of video officiating.
Across the Campeonato Paranaense, Copa Sul-Sudeste, Copa do Brasil, and the Brazilian Championships Série B, C, and D, José Mendonça da Silva Júnior has officiated 13 matches in the 2026 season. In total, he has handed out 62 yellow cards and 10 red cards, an average of more than 5 cards per game.
